So the new Samsung Galaxy Mega with a whopping 6.3 inch screen is making the rounds with the media and early testers. This size device is being referred to as a "phablet" instead of a smartphone. After looking at the size of it, comparing it to my current 7 inch tablet and thinking about how to carry it around - I realized - I need new pants! Not only large, but heavy as well - I can only imagine how someone would use this as their day to day device. Running the latest version of Android (4.2.2 Jellybean) it has all the features you would expect from any android device. The one benefit to a larger form factor is Samsung's ability to put in a larger battery - which can only help with talk time, browsing time and standby time. also with the larger screen, the need to have 2 devices (a phone and a tablet) goes away. Add to that an 8 megapixel camera and we're good to go. So what's your opinion - is the new Mega something you would buy or pass in favor of 2 devices?
